16 WEEKS PROGRAM: BAKING, ROYAL ICING, PIPING, GUM PASTE FLOWER, FONDANT AND WEDDING CAKES. $1200
Our school offers a comprehensive basic level that last 16 weeks, divided in 16 sessions, once a week for three hours.
This specific course is carefully develop to introduce and enhance overall skills and knowledge in all areas of baking and decorating.
Curriculum for 16 Week Program will include all of the following-
Cake, Filling and Icing: Chocolate Cake Dominican Cake, Vanilla Cake, Pineapple Up-side down, Orange Cup Cakes, Raisin Run Cake, Chocolate Chip/Hazelnut cake, Pineapple and Strawberry filling and Meringue Icing.
Piping and Spatula techniques: The correct use of the spatula to get your cakes even and smooth also, how to use decorating combs to create different designs. Includes leveling, filling and crumb coating; the correct use of the pastry bag to create shells, outline, lettering, beads, lace, ruffles, bows, roses and basket weave.
Cup Cake Workshop: This course features Baking and Cup Cakes Decorating. Using professional methods and techniques, such as Butter Cream Making, the correct use of the spatula to cover and get your icing smooth. You also learn how to create different Butter Cream Flowers and designs.
Gum Paste Flowers I & II: Elaboration of the gum paste, coloring techniques, rolling, cutting, shaping and painting to created, roses, rose bud, calla lily, casa Blanca lily, Tiger lily, orchid, sweet peas and stephanotis
Fondant techniques: Learn all about the correct ways to elaborate this sugar dough and roll it, also, how to cover cakes and create Ribbons, Borders, Bows, Quilting Designs, plus Cut-out Techniques and Laces.
Wedding Cakes: In this class the student will learn how to build beautiful cakes for Weddings, Sweet Sixteen's and Anniversaries events. Learn the correct way to create tiers, using dowels and columns for classic and modern designs. In this class you’ll learn different types of designs using Royal Icings, Shells, Swiss Dots, Cornella Lace and String Work. Also, how to create different Flowers arrangements to decorated Your Cakes.
16 week program, once a week for three hours. $1,200 divides four payments of $300. Students need to deposit $300 to enroll; second payment is due first day of class.
Everything necessary to participate in the class is provided for you to use. You do not need to purchase any tools or equipment prior to the class, or bring anything with you
