12 WEEKS PROGRAM: BAKING AND DECORATING PROGRAM
Our school offers a comprehensive basic level that last 12 weeks, divided in 12 sessions, once a week. $800
This specific course is carefully developed to introduce and enhance overall skills and knowledge in all areas of baking and decorating.
Cake, Filling and Icing: Chocolate Cake, Dominican Cake, Vanilla Cake, Pineapple Up-side down, Orange Cup Cakes, Raisin Run Cake, Chocolate Chip/Hazelnut cake, Pineapple and Strawberry filling and Meringue Icing.
Piping and Spatula techniques: The correct use of the spatula to get your cakes even and smooth also, how to use decorating combs to create different designs. Includes leveling, filling and crumb coating; the correct use of the pastry bag to create shells, outline, lettering, beads, lace, ruffles, bows, roses and basket weave.
Cup Cake Workshop: This course features Baking and Cup Cakes Decorating. Using professional methods and techniques, such as Butter Cream Making, the correct use of the spatula, to cover and get your icing smooth. Also how to create Butter Cream Flowers and designs.
Gum Paste Flowers: Elaboration of the gum paste, coloring techniques, rolling, cutting, shaping and painting to created, roses, rose bud, calla lily, wild rose, casa Blanca lily, orchid, sweet peas and stephanotis
Fondant techniques: Learn all about the correct ways to elaborate this sugar dough and roll it, also, how to cover cakes and create Ribbons, Garlands, Borders, Bows, Quilting Designs, plus Cut-out Techniques, Painting and Laces.
Gum Paste Flowers: Elaboration of the gum paste, coloring techniques, rolling, cutting, shaping and painting to created, roses, rose bud, calla lily and forget-me-not
Tiered Cakes: In this class the student will learn how to build beautiful cakes. You Learn the correct way to create tiers, using dowels.
12 week program, once a week. $800 divides four payments of $200. Students need to deposit $200 to enroll; second payment is due first day of class. “ingredients and recipes are Included”
Everything necessary to participate in the class is provided for you to use. You do not need to purchase any tools or equipment prior to the class, or bring anything with you to class
